Article Writing Tips - Writing Current Events Vs Writing Timeless Topics

If you're an article writer, I am sure that your main goal is to get people to pay attention to your copies. One of the steps that you need to take to make this happen is to choose topics that they would love to read about. Are you going to discuss those current ones or those that are considered timeless?

Writing current topics can surely benefit you but only for a short period of time. For example, you can write an article about Kanye West's behavior during the VMA's and you can be assured that you'll get enormous traffic. Why? It's because people from across the globe are now going crazy about this issue. In fact, Kanye's video in YouTube already got millions of hits. But what happens after a month or so? Do you think people will still remember Kanye's antics? I really don't think so.

On the other hand, writing timeless topics can offer you with long lasting results. For example, you can write anything about SEO and your topics will still be considered important five years from now as it will still be the fastest way to the hearts of the search engines.

Conclusion: I recommend that you write both current events and timeless topics as much as you can. Both can give you the kind of attention you need. Just make sure though that all the topics that you write about are closely relevant to the theme of your website so you'll be able to attract high quality traffic or those people who are most likely to get interested on what you sell.

Connect to the World and Current Events With Satellite Internet

The Internet is the best way to stay in touch with the outside world these days. Not only can you keep in touch with your immediate world, including family, friends, and neighbors, but you can also keep in touch with the world around you. Maybe to you this means staying on top of the local news in your area or maybe you are interested in a more global look at the news and want to know what is going on in every corner of our world. If this is the case, the Internet is the best place to do this.

With the Internet you get a much more well rounded view of what is going on in the world. You have all kinds of information right at your fingertips and you can pick and choose what information you want. With television and newspapers you are severely limited as far as what kind of information you can get. First you are limited to the type of media that they choose to share. Maybe you only have access to a very liberal media outlet or a very conservative one. Maybe you only have access to the news of your country and they don't cover a lot of news in other parts of the world where you have interests. There are a lot of possibilities of downsides to TV and newspaper news. With the Internet you can choose the media outlet and you can search for the news stories that interest you most.

The second way that you are limited as far as what kind of information you can get with television and newspapers is because they are only updated a few times a day. Most newspapers have one or two editions a day. News programs are usually shown about three times per day. But with the Internet they can update a news story in an instant if there is more information discovered. Plus with the Internet you can search for more information about a story if there is more that you want to know. You don't have that kind of control with other kinds of media.

Your access to certain news stories might be even more limited depending on you location. People in rural areas might be interested in getting connected with a satellite Internet connection in order to have even more access to different kinds of news. Because areas with less people will have even less newspapers and possibly less news channels, satellite Internet is a great way to keep abreast of what is going on in the world. Satellite Internet is also a great alternative to dial up service where you would probably get frustrated clicking around on different news stories. Staying connected to what is going on in the world around you is important to everyone. With a satellite Internet connection you can stay informed about the things that interest you the most and get your news from the sources that you prefer.

Increase Event Bookings With Year Round Attendee Communication

Staying in touch with delegates at your event may not seem important. After all every event is unique and has a different target audience, right? Wrong! Each event is unique but the attendees may overlap. Most of us spend time and money trying to attract new customers rather than retaining existing ones; forgetting the idiom that, 'It is far easier to retain an existing customer than it is to obtain a new one'. There is an excellent chance that the IT delegate may be interested in tickets to the rock show you are organizing next month. So, let your previous customers become your most precious resource.

One of the best ways to retain customers or attendees is by staying in touch with them long after your event has reached its finale. The payoff may not be immediate, in fact, it may be years but it will happen. And, today, thanks to the internet, keeping in touch with attendees is much easier, less time consuming and less expensive than ever before thanks to the internet. Here are some ideas that will help you keep the communication lines open between you and your attendee and build a long and lasting relationship:

Birthday Greetings: This is a simple yet overlooked method. Send your attendee a birthday greeting. You do not have to spend money purchasing a card; an e-card (online card) will suffice. All you need to do is spend a few minutes to send out the birthday wishes. This gesture will remind the attendee of your presence and will help you build a long-term relationship with him.

Festival Greetings: Another simple method of staying in touch is Festival Greeting cards. There are number of festivals throughout the year - Christmas, New Year, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Holi, Diwali and many many more. Again as mentioned above, you do not have to spend a large sum of money purchasing and couriering cards. You can simply mass mail the greeting card to your attendees. Sending an e-card will save not only money but also time.

Email: If you want to adopt a more personal form of communication, you can opt to send your attendees emails. Do not flood the attendees email account with multiple emails containing junk data instead send out weekly, month or quarterly emails that are informative. If you are informing the attendee about an upcoming event, make sure to include a Book Now link that allows the attendee to register and pay for your event easily. One of the main benefits of sending emails is that it is one of the most inexpensive and fastest modes of communication. Sending an email costs the same regardless of distance and the number of people. You also save on the cost of postage, printing and packaging.

Newsletter: Newsletters are another great way to stay in touch with customers. Newsletters are an excellent way to keep your attendees informed about your business from new tie-ups to latest events. This is slight less personal than the email method but it can enhance your company's reputation and increases lead generation. Newsletters should be sent on a weekly or monthly basis and include information such as current event happenings and links to facilitate instant bookings. Newsletters are an effective, trackable and low-cost method for staying in touch with your customers.

Always keep in mind that finding new customers is a time-consuming and expensive proposition, so, even small efforts on your part such as sending a greeting card or newsy email or newsletter can help you build a long and prosperous relationship with your attendees.

Journal Review in Current Events and World Affairs

It is difficult to stay up on all the current events in world affairs, as there is always some conflict going on or some negotiation between nations. And then there are the rogue nations, and the United Nations, and groups trying to get together to figure out a solution which is fair for all concerned, that won't lead to problems of unintended consequences. This is easier than it sounds, and it's easy to get lost in the political international rhetoric.

Yes the United States is involved in that rhetoric just as much as any other nation and each nation tries to serve its own self interests, or the interests of their leaders. One way to stay up on all the current events and happenings is to take a professional journal which discusses these topics, where the editors pour through articles which appear in all sorts of other publications, and they pick the best ones out for you to read. There is such a journal which I'd like to recommend to you. It's one that I often read through, as there are quite a few good articles. The name of the Journal is;

"Current - Required Reading Recommended by Leading Opinion Makers," published by Routledge - Taylor and Francis publishing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ISSN: 0011 - 3131.

Let me give you some for instances, in the October 2010 issue; number 526 there were several great articles. One was "Too Bad Not to Fail," by William J Quirk, which questions the CDO markets and the derivative markets. And the rest of the journal focused on China, which has been in the news quite a bit lately one article took us looking pretty far ahead to the year 2020 with an article titled "The Gathering Storm - America in China in 2020" by Ian Bremmer.

The next article was "China Turns on the Charm" by Helle C Dale. Both of these articles also appeared in world affairs magazine in the July August issue of 2010. You see, it's not easy to go and read all the various magazines, and writings from all the top universities on such topics, but it is even better to see that someone else has gone through all the articles and picked out the best ones for us to read. There is a lot of value in that, especially for someone who runs a think tank like I do. Thus, I would like to recommend this particular journal to you, if these topics are of interest. Please consider all this.

Cable TV 101: Watching The Latest Current Events

One of the things we're watching after work is current events. Why is it that we need to watch current events all the time? Is it very important for all of us to watch the latest news in any niche around the world? For most TV viewers, this is very important for them to be aware of their future. The news can be within your area, nationwide or worldwide. This is where cable TV has played its role for their customers on providing them news channels all the time. It will be a big disappointment for the subscribers if there are no news channels in their subscription.

Before we get through this, let's take a look back on how non-cable TV users are doing. Since they are not using cable with limited channels transmitted by their antenna, it can give them at least one channel that includes a news program like no other. But in terms of variety channels, they can only include at least one to two news programs in a single channel. However, if you subscribed with your nearest cable TV provider, you will get access to more than five to ten news channels. As a result, it gives you more advantage than sticking with an antenna TV.

News channels can be categorized into different niches, but most of them are variety ones. It is combined with the latest in current events, sports, celebrities, health, technology and a lot more. For the fixed ones, they will only provide the latest news and updates on their respective niches. Some of the best news channels to be watched today are CNN and Fox News. They are one of the most popular channels today, and it's applicable to all parts of the world. The good thing for them is that they provide news and updates for twenty-four hours.

These channels will provide us the latest current events in a non-stop fashion, compared to other variety channels with news programs. Speaking of the current events, it is one of the most important niches of all. For example, if there is a hostage incident in the USA that catches the attention of all viewers, they're going to talk about it. A news program always starts with the important and main headline of the day, because it's very important for the viewers. Other latest updates were only featured in the middle and in the end of the program.

If we always want to watch news anytime we want, better subscribe to our local cable TV provider. If we watch news on a variety channel, it needs us to wait for the time slot to come. This is one disadvantage for most viewers, especially if they are busy. But there is an option that you can read newspapers or news content in the internet. It's important that we should be aware of what's happening around the world and it needs us to get updated with it. If we want to apply it by ourselves, we need to watch current events anytime with our cable TV.

Satellite TV - Your Source For Current Events

Whatever you might have thought of George W. Bush as president of the United States, after eight years many of us had stopped paying very close attention to the daily actions of him and his administration. Opinions were formed in the preceding years, and so continuing to follow every news bite hardly seemed worth it. Well now it's 2009 and a new presidential era has begun. Whether or not you voted for President Barack Obama, you cannot deny that we are in for some big changes. He has made that perfectly clear just within his first weeks as head of state. He has the attention of the world, the media, and the American people. His actions certainly merit a bit of your attention as well!

News stations have a renewed interest in Washington, both because of this peaceful transfer of power and because of the economic crisis, and by watching a variety of news stations, you can get a broad picture of what is going on, and hopefully form your own opinions based upon this spectrum of reporting. Satellite TV is your best bet for staying as informed as possible, given the variety of national and international news stations available.

In fact, the international news stations can be some of the most insightful for staying abreast of domestic news, since outsiders often have a distinct view not possible for those on the inside. On satellite TV, you can find out what the Hindi, Spanish, or French news stations have to say about current events in America. You can enjoy high definition, high quality news reports from around the globe. You can also pick and choose between different national stations, balancing what you hear from CNN, CBS, and FOX in order to paint a realistic picture.

You don't need to sacrifice your regular viewing habits just to watch the news. Sundays can still be dedicated to the NFL Sunday Ticket, a day to revel in sports and your favorite teams and athletes. Prime-time can still be devoted to watching Lost or Grey's Anatomy. But in the mornings, when you are getting ready for work, try flipping on one of the news stations and get the morning report. Browse the evening news shows and find out which one is your favorite, then make a point of watching it regularly.

These days it is cool to know what is going on. At work, the "water cooler" talk is likely to involve discussions of Wall Street and foreign policy, energy sources and fiscal responsibility. You want to be able to point to the Gaza Strip on a map and know what Gitmo means. No one is expecting you to know everything, but it is certainly admirable to know something. Your satellite TV is a precious resource for learning the news, so don't waste it! Next time you end up in a political conversation, there is no need to feel that you are out of your league and just stay quiet. Turn some heads by contributing a headline or an opinion, taking an active role in this exciting time in American history!

The Benefits of Current Social Networking Sites

Most likely, you have already received and turned down social networking invitations as you believe that these are a mere craze. However, you should re-consider as social networking sites have multiple benefits.

The topmost advantage of these sites is that you could easily contact people, and vice versa. The features of bulletin boards could keep you updated with the current happenings with relatives and friends whom you have not seen in a while. It would be like receiving news in a flash - know about their engagements, sudden plans and other very recent events. You could also rekindle old friendships as these sites enable you to find them easily. Just leave a message in their page and you could continue socializing.

You may wonder if social networking sites allow business endeavors to flourish.

You may not believe it, but social networking sites have actually paved the way for easier advertising. Another positive news is that you could promote your products and/or services for free. For example, you could create forum threads to generate interest. You could tell people the simple steps in acquiring your products or availing your services. You could also ask your friends to post links of your business or just about anything so those people in their networks could know about your business. When the ads are enticing enough, it would be like viral promotion.

If you are on the artistic side, you could post invitations to your activities like concerts, performance night or recitals. You could also upload videos on your page so people in the site would immediately know that you are an artist. There are some current popular singers who have started in social networking sites. They gained fans through their page, which might also happen to you. Back in the old days, promoting oneself as an artist was expensive. With the help of these sites, you could gain popularity for free.

Arts and culture are not the only fields of society that benefit from these sites. Politicians around the globe have used social networking sites to propagate their candidacy, especially among the younger generations who are the majority members of these sites. They have also used the sites to make people aware of their political stands and policies made. Through the sites, supporters and advocates have easier access to the politicians they like. One could even send them messages about opinions on their political work.

Another political use these sites offer is you could make people know about your advocacies. Write about political issues and post them in community boards, forums and your own blog site within the network. Through such mechanisms, you could even get support from other site members. In addition, you could join causes. Some members also have other advocacies which could be your source of further information. Hence, every member could truly be informed about current events through these sites.

Aside from individuals, companies and organizations of all sorts have taken part in social networking sites. The members and/or employees of these groups could effortlessly gather information about the current happenings in their respective companies and organizations. This proves to be a cost-effective method of information dissemination.

With all these advantages known, you could surely be enticed in being a member of any site, and jumpstart your social networking.

Article Writing Tips - Writing on Current Events

Article writing is such a wide open field. You can write on just about anything from sports to music to zebras if you like. One of the most fascinating areas to write about is current events. But writing about current events has its pitfalls. In this article, I'm going to go over the pros and cons of writing about stuff in the news. You may or may not want to tackle these after reading this little piece.

As you probably know by now, Michael Jackson just passed away, as of this writing anyway. Now, I could have decided to write a whole bunch of articles on Michael Jackson especially since I grew up listening to him and the Jackson 5. But I have decided against it. I'm going to explain why when I go over the good and bad or current event writing.

Let's look at the positive aspect of it. It's current. It's what people are going to be most interested in. If you think there aren't millions of people out there today who are clamoring to read just about anything on Michael Jackson today, you're crazy. Anybody with a Michael Jackson blog is going to have traffic coming out of their ears. Make no mistake about it...Michael Jackson articles WILL be read today.

But what about five years from now when all the hoopla dies down? What's going to happen to all these articles? Oh sure, there will still be a few people who will look for Michael Jackson articles, but it's not going to be like the craziness of today. These articles will get very few views down the road.

Now, take an article on article marketing or SEO or something that is not so timely, something that is going to be consistent for a long time. Those articles are going to be read tomorrow as much as they're going to be read today. Sure, they may not get the initial traffic that then current events articles get, but they'll get a lot more traffic five years from now.

Yes, you can do well writing about current events, for the short term. But if you want long term traffic, you might want to focus on topics that aren't so timely.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

The Current Debt Crisis - How Did it Happen?

I usually don't write articles about current events, but this particular article is about a current event that has its origins nearly 30 years ago. The tremendous debt load that most countries are currently burdened with are not something that has its origins in the last decade. This fact may surprise people, as national debt has only been coming to the forefront since the most recent credit crisis. But a careful analysis, and an honest analysis, will show that this unprecedented borrowing spree has been going on for more than 30 years and we are now only beginning to reap the consequences of a poorly managed economy.

I think it's important to understand that I have no blame to place on any individual, as most borrowing has been approved by Congress and whatever President was currently in charge. To be frank, there is enough blame to go around and both parties have been equally complacent in failing to halt our runaway debt problem. So there will be no politics in this discussion, just simple facts that are well documented and may help readers understand the cause and current effects of our credit situation.

From the onset, I would not predict we are doomed to failure. We are, and always have been, a resilient country with vast human and natural resources. The United States has also shown a remarkable ability to adapt to a variety of conditions which have on several occasions threatened the bedrock of our democracy. So I think it's important to understand that there are remedies to our current situation and I believe we will implement the proper laws and regulation to bring our country into a more manageable debt situation.

Many individuals believe that our recent budget deficits are a product of the last two or three administrations, but the fact of the matter is surprising; our major budget deficits began under Pres. Reagan and at the time, it created a massive stir. In England, Margaret Thatcher was in the process of drastically reducing public spending, and in the United States the Congress and Pres. Reagan were amassing massive debt, primarily spending money in the defense sector. Economists at the time were sharply divided in this approach, as the freshwater economic sector favored increased borrowing and spending, and the salt water economic sector felt strongly that an increasing debt load would be detrimental to our country. In the end, Reagan's budget director, David Stockman, resigned in protest when the Republican Party would not bring deficits under control.

Of course, Congress and a variety of presidential administrations have continued to exacerbate our burgeoning debt load. The problems we are experiencing, are simple; we have too much debt, and lack the resources (at the present time) to service our debt levels. This phenomena is occurring at both the national and state levels. Many states are currently underfunding or borrowing from vested civil service pension funds to cover the shortfalls in our current system. The unfortunate fact is that you can't make debt go away. On the other hand, many citizens are loathe to sacrifice the government provided services on which they depend. So our debt has continued to grow at an alarming rate.

In the last two years, our country has attempted to re mediate the effect of a very deep depression by infusing economy with 8 trillion, or more, depending on which numbers you care to quote and hastened the level increase in our debt.

While there are no specific individuals to pin the blame for this crisis upon, the burgeoning debt load our country has accumulated will be an Achilles' heel for many years to come. I think it is important to know that our current crisis is not the result of any single action, though Wall Street in recent years did help exacerbate an already tenuous position, but our problems have been accumulating for an extended period of time. Of course, from a political standpoint both parties are happy pointing the fingers at each other for this mess, history will show that both parties showed equal levels of incompetence in dealing with the United States budgetary concerns. The facts show unequivocally that our borrowing has increased exponentially in the last years and shows no sign of abating, despite the rhetoric and politicians and political pundits espouse. The truth is a simple one; this particular budget crisis is the work of Congress and presidents who targeted programs for funding that were beyond their means we had to pay for them.

Contact Database - Use Current Events To Check If It Needs Updating

You don't always have to wait for a marketing disaster to indicate that your contact database needs cleaning up. Unfortunately, that's usually how a lot of B2B companies find out. Meanwhile, they've wasted a considerable amount of time and resources (probably even more on PR and damage control).

Wouldn't it be better to the see signs and start making small moves and small preparations instead?

So what are these signs? Well the good news is, they're not necessarily doomsday prophecies (at least, if you're not prone to pessimism). It's just a matter of seeing the obvious and using common sense. In the following list, you will see obvious indicators that could affect businesses and therefore, affect the quality of your contact database:

  • Global events - People blame the economy for both good and bad business. And why should you blame them? Only people with excess idealism are closed to the notion that the global economy won't have an effect on market behavior. And because of that, contact databases with information on foreign businesses should start seeing the quality of these lists in light of such events. Different industries also have varying levels of strength depending on different countries.

  • Local events - By local, it doesn't necessarily mean just your country. Again, if you have foreign contacts, the state of their nation could affect the value of their place on your database. To use an extreme example, suppose that country is in a state of turmoil. You don't seriously want to run a telemarketing campaign (or even an email marketing campaign) targeting it now would you? Politics could also indicate a a change. A country with an upcoming election could bring up certain issues regarding the economy, thus making businesses more price-sensitive and wary.

  • Industry changes - Innovations in certain industries can either spark new demands or diminish preexisting ones. Either way, you need to know and you might need to reevaluate the possible interest you will attract from the businesses in your database while using these changes as reference.

If this is starting to sound complicated, don't worry. The good thing about these signs is that they don't just affect your business or the businesses of your contacts. They affect everyone. The key is to stay informed and to act prudently based on the information. Here are two simple steps you can try:

  • News and current events - Tuning in to the local news or subscribing to a few sources can be all you need. Just make sure that the sources and subjects are related to your business. Also, make sure that these sources are sufficiently reputable. Social media can also be another outlet as news stories tend to be shared on online networks.

  • Small surveys - Based on what you know, conduct a few surveys to test the market yourself before targeting it for sales leads. You don't have to react to every news story and do it constantly but you shouldn't neglect to try it on occasion, especially when the impact of an event has been implied to be considerably large.

Again, don't wait for a disaster to show you that your database is need of cleaning. The signs could just be right out there, being told to the world, through numerous channels. You just need to pay attention.

Five Ways to Find Story Ideas - Use Current Events and Classic Themes to Jump Start Your Fiction

The phrase "writer's block" can strike fear in the heart of even the most prolific writer. Typically it is not that the writer can't write; instead, it is probably that the writer can't think of a good idea.

How can a writer bring back the muse? A few simple exercises can bring inspiration and spark fresh ideas.

1. Read the Paper

Amazing things happen every day, and even the most insignificant of them could inspire the next great work of fiction.

When reading the newspaper, scan it for interesting news items. The briefs and weird news sections can be the most fertile. If you find a story about a criminal who made ridiculous mistake, think about what led him to commit the crime. Maybe he was a regular man who was forced to commit the crime on fear of some horrible punishment. Or maybe he experience some sort of psychotic break with reality that you could explore. Or maybe he is destitute, and he decided that he would commit a crime and be sent to jail so that he would at least have a warm place to sleep and three meals a day.

2. Watch the News

Television news can also provide story ideas. When a car chase comes on, imagine a back story. What happened in the driver's life that led him to this? What is he running from? What will happen after he is caught? What is going through the policemen's minds as they chase him?

When the national weather report mentions a severe thunderstorm coming to a remote part of the state, think about what is will bring. Is the storm the results of natural weather patterns, or is it a harbinger of dark forces? Will a killer use the storm to hide her crime? Will a young family flee the storm and find a better life where they take refuge?

3. Mine the Classics

Classic works of literature can help generate ideas.

Consider retelling an old story or fairy tale with a different perspective. Marion Zimmer Bradley used this technique when she wrote The Mists of Avalon [Del Rey Books, 1987, ISBN 9780345350497], a recasting of Arthurian legend through the eyes of the women, and The Firebrand [Roc, 2009, ISBN 9780451462657], the story of the Trojan War told from the point of view of a minor character. If the story is something to be shared, ensure that it is in the public domain before beginning this exercise.

Or look at the themes covered in classic literature and assess how they could apply today. Aesop taught lessons with his fables. Pick a lesson and see how a fictional tale could teach it. Edgar Allen Poe explored darker emotions. How could an emotion such as fear play a role in a story?

4. Use Prompts

The Internet is a treasure trove of prompts that can lead to stories of various types and lengths. A quick Google search for writing prompts reveals millions of sources. Or, stop by the bookstore or library and get a book of writing prompts.

5. Write About Writer's Block

If you can't beat it, maybe you can join it.

Writer's block isn't just the subject of nonfiction books-which can be of use in breaking past the block-fiction writers conquer their own fear of block by including it in their books. Stephen King's Bag of Bones [Pocket Books, 1999, ISBN 9780671024239] chronicles a writer's journey past writer's block. Writer's block is also a prominent feature of such films as Stranger Than Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, Wonder Boys, and Finding Forrester.

Imagine a writer crippled with fear that she will never writer again. Put her thoughts into words as she sits in front of a blank computer screen, taunted by the blinking cursor. Or as she opens Write or Die and tries to force herself to write anything, even gibberish words.

Or imagine a muse who has quit visiting his writer. Give your imaginary writer's muse a personality and a back story. Why has he quit visiting his writer? What does he do with all of the ideas he is holding? Will he give them to another writer? Will they slowly drive him crazy as he keeps them inside instead of sharing them? Is he also bereft of inspiration?

Ideas can be elusive, but these exercises can open the writer's mind to capture ideas from anything, even the very condition of writer's block.

Economic Current Events and the Environmental Bail Out

The recent economic current events in the global financial markets has prompted a response that is both too late to avert the crisis and does not address the root causes of the problem, which is selfish and greedy behaviour of people who are not held accountable for their actions. This is a worrying situation in its own right, but also points to more serious concerns about the approach of governments around the world in regards to environmental issues.

The bail out of the financial institutions threatened by the economic collapse was effected quickly and the resulting small increase in market performance was virtually instantaneous, though the long term effects of this situation are still far from clear.

These decisions have been made based on the advice of expert economists that have had the trust and ear of both the financial institutions for many years, though governments have been reluctant to act unless forced to do so by dire circumstances.

What hope then do we have for the environment? Despite equally dire warnings of impending troubles with the environment, governments have either been slow to act or have avoided acting to reverse environmental degradation. Will this trend continue until it is blindingly obvious that we are in the middle of a catastrophe? If so, throwing any amount of cash at the problem will not be able to fix it. We are treating the environment as if it can be fixed with a click of the fingers, just in the nick of time as the disaster is looming.

We need to get out of this short sighted, greed centered view of our impact on the planet. We need to take a longer term view of our effects on the planet and adopt clean energy strategies on a global scale with the technology we have available now. We cannot afford to wait until we are either drowning or choking, because by then there will be no way back. If this happens it is we humans that will become extinct.

It is time for governments to do what they are supposed to do: provide for the wellbeing of their people both for now and for the future through well considered long term planning in both the financial and environmental arenas.

Hot Rod Car Clubs, What They're Doing, Current Events

All special-interest hobbies have their followings, and hot rod devotees are no exception. Every week in every major metropolitan area across America, you can count on at least a few enthusiast-run clubs meeting up to do what gearheads of all tastes do: race, swap parts, cruise around on lazy weekend afternoons, fill a major venue with its very own auto show, or simply hang out and eat.

Some clubs are dedicated to a certain cars, others to cars of a certain make, others still care not at all. Many have restrictions on age - that is, of cars that are too young. "Young" is an elastic term, and in some cases can stretch to mean anything produced before 1948. Banned, just like that.

Speaking of age, enthusiasm for transportation of decades past tends to be shared by those who can remember them. Most members of these clubs belong to certain generations, and X and Y aren't among them.

The west coast (especially the south end) has supposedly always been the center of car culture in general and hot rodding specifically. Here are some of the many organizations in Southern California alone, whose very names often paint a telling picture of what to expect:

- Classic Cruisers

- Roam'n Relics

- Sultans of Long Beach

- Ventura Vintage Rods

- Bean Bandits

- FoMoCoMofos

A Current Event - Vile Television and Entertainment, the Citizen's Biblical Responsibility

A certain memory is printed in my mind with what you might call indelible ink. It has been some time now, but the image has not faded. One day I drove downtown past the movie theater, and as usual one half or more of the movies playing were rated R, (it is my judgment that in most cases this rating stands for rot) There was a line in front of the theater, and at the end of the line stood this very pretty young blond girl. I prayed, "My God, she is but a child and already they participate in destroying her morals."

Oh, foolish generation. Do we think we can immerse ourselves mentally in murder, immorality, vulgarity and ungodliness, and reap happiness, joy, prosperity, health, and eternal Life? I would think the answer ought to be obvious to us. Is it any wonder why America leads the industrialized world in vices such as: divorce, murder, rape, and violent crime? Now how's that for being the "head of the class"? I suppose some will say that there is no correlation between the violence, pornography, immorality, vulgarity and general disrespect in which this generation continually immerses itself in via the television or cinema screen and the epidemic of teen suicide, teen age sexual immorality,(what is called teen sex) abortion, (the 40 million babies American citizens have "legally" murdered since Roe vs. Wade) our national divorce rate, guns and knives being packed to school, vulgar speech used by even very small children, bombings, and people going on killing sprees. I ask you, can a person drink poison and not at least get sick? Do we dare think that the rot which the entertainment industry produces is doing anything but producing a demoralized, confused, and ruthless people?

This trash is not free speech as some would suggest. A large portion of what the entertainment industry produces is pure, unadulterated rot, and as long as it is allowed to be produced it will continue to act as a poison to the soul of our people. For who can reasonably argue that the way it works is anything other than, "garbage in - garbage out"!

What Must A Person Do About It?

  • Protect yourself and your household from the vileness of modern entertainment.
  • Follow the wisdom of Jesus who taught us that the eye is the Light of the soul, which directs the actions of the body. (Matthew 6:22 KJV) The light of the body is the eye; if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Follow the wisdom of the Apostle Peter who said, "... save yourselves from this untoward generation". (Acts 2:40b KJV) Practice the Apostle Paul's wisdom. (Philippians 4:8 KJV) Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, what soever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.
  • We must pray, confessing and turning from our personal sins, while confessing the sins of our land, petitioning the Lord for a visitation of His presence among our people.
  • Solomon offered this wisdom, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land. Be encouraged and challenged that the Prophet Joel offered us the promise that God would pour out the Holy Spirit in the last days. (Joel 2:28 KJV) And it shall come to pass afterwards, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Also be encouraged that James, who was the physical brother of the Lord Jesus taught us that the the pouring out of the Holy Spirit in the last days would surely come, for it is needed to bring into the kingdom of God the last great harvest of souls. (James 5:7 KJV) Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it , until he receive the early and the latter rain.
  • Every man must exhort his neighbor to do right, which also includes an exhortation toward law makers to enforce punishment upon those who would demoralize our nation through vile forms of entertainment.
  • (Hebrews 3:13 KJV) But exhort one another daily, while it is call today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. (Ephesians 5:11KJV) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Only a moral people can be maintained as a free people, for an immoral people will become degraded and self serving, therefore not able to be vigilant to maintain justice, truth, and equity. Qualities that are foundational to a free society. That is why it is impossible to be immoral and a true patriot, you cannot be both.
  • Be warned. Remember, every person will be rewarded according to the deeds done while in the body. Whether the deeds of our lives served to turn men to God, or served to turn men away from the fear of God.

Jesus voiced a warning this way, (Mathew 18:6 KJV) "But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Paul spoke his warning in this manner, (Romans 2:8-9 KJV) "But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation, and wrath, tribulation, and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile.

Book Review - Current Events, Conservative Future, by G A Freiman

Fighting Fear with Knowledge and Vision

Today Americans are faced with unknowns, the uncertainty of the economy, the threat of terrorist attacks, and a concern for our nation's leadership and respect around the world. In his book "Current Events, Conservative Outcomes" G. A. Freiman talks about, and analyzes these fears in light of current events with predictions for America's future. He uses information he has received in the form of a visionary process, meditation and reflection, as well as through life experiences and his own educational opportunities.

Freiman has an innate passion and love for America. This is reflected in his writing. His writing is deeply spiritual, expressive, and logical. Freiman's sets out to help the reader form honest opinions on politics, religion, and social issues. He hypothesizes on political correctness, the threat of terrorism, the impact of global warming, poverty, abortion, and euthanasia with clarity, perception and forthrightness.

I found the questions that accompanied each issue thought provoking, meaningful, and practical. The reader was also shown action steps could take to have an impact on the future, in personal areas, the political arena, or on social issues. Freiman's predictions on American culture provide important insight and are worthy of consideration even for the skeptic of physic phenomena.

Although the book's title may limit its audience, this is a book for liberal and conservative a like. It is a call for positive participation and a dedication to create a better future for our children and for those generations still to come.

Frieman's approach draws the reader into a personal assessment of their faith. He helps them take a fresh look at the meaning of life, at root causes, into global thinking. He invites the reader to consider their relationship with God, His creation, and with all of humanity. "Current Events, Conservative Outcomes" is highly perceptive, entertaining, and thought provoking.

Current Events in Science - Why Bother?

Once upon a time I used to teach high school science and so keeping up with current events in science was vital. The thing that upset me most when teaching those lessons were the students that refused to see the relevance of science, old and current, in their lives. I often stopped teaching the lesson to try and persuade them how relevant science, especially current events in science, actually was in everyday life. Think about it, let's just start with the human body... understand how it works and you will have a better understanding of how to look after numero uno.

Here are two of examples from my every day existence where science knowledge helped me out:

I enjoy fishing. A friend and myself were fishing on a farm dam using a two man inflatable boat and things were going well. We had a couple of nice size bass in the bag when my friend hooked into and landed a two kilogram Tilapia. He thing about the Tilapia species of fish that have very sharp spikes on their dorsal fins.

Now any reasonably intelligent person (especially one who is up to date with current events in science, as I was) would quickly figure out that a two kilogram fish with sharp spikes sticking out of it's back which is flapping around in the bottom of an inflatable boat is a recipe for disaster. We were too busy fishing to think logically...

So when the air in the floor panel of the boat started hissing out (because it was trying to establish an equilibrium - a whole new science topic), we snapped back to reality. With the boat folding in around us and the water coming very close to lapping over the rim the scientist in me yelled to my friend,

"Spread yourself wide..."

Yup, pushing the sides of the boat wide and increasing the surface area kept us afloat long enough for me to paddle to the shore.

So you are not into fishing from inflatable two man boats and therefore I have not convinced you yet of the relevance of keeping up with current events in science? OK, how about this one...

Picture yourself on a summer day doing an outdoor activity (apart from swimming), but oh my word, you are sweating buckets. This does not impress the blond daughter of your new neighbors! How are you going to ensure you look as fresh and "un-tired" as possible while still showing your physical abilities to this "o-so-nice" young lady?

Long, long ago, when I was still at school, I took part in what was fondly termed "cadets". This is where you are shown the ropes as to how to march in the army. It built discipline and taught you to listen to instructions and also made you very hot.

The heat I experienced during those sessions was not due to over exercise, I mean sometimes we just stood still for long periods of time, it was because of the dark brown uniform that we wore. I remember the master in charge jumping up and down in front of us for being so lethargic and sloppy in our marching when at his age he was still so full of energy. What I wanted to inform him about was that he always made sure he wore a white cotton shirt during those hours in the sun.

You see, I kept up with current events in science and therefore knew science - and he did not! White reflects the white light that carries with it energy that is converted into heat, brown absorbs a whole lot of white light. A lot of white light being absorbed means lots of energy being converted into heat, which means that by diffusion, heat energy reaches the body that is wearing the brown shirt - my body!

So, a white shirt during those physical exertions will keep you looking fresh. The rest is up to your charming personality - with this combination - the girl is yours!

So is science relevant? I think so...

How to See Current Events in a Truly Fair and Balanced Light

Let's face it--the news media is meant to be the fourth branch of government, as the old saying goes, and present current events and issues in a fair and balanced light, but the truth is, very few media outlets actually present both sides of every story. That is why many Americans get so frustrated with the media that they stop keeping up with current events altogether.

But don't give up on the news altogether. After all, being informed about what's going on in the world around you helps you become a better citizen.

First, you need to decide on the issues that are really important to you. Many people say that they refuse to watch the news because it is excessively negative and depressing overall. While I don't entirely disagree with this argument, you need to know about the bad things going on out there so that you can be part of the solution.

Once you have identified the things you really care about, search for stories about those issues. Pay attention when the six o'clock news report comes up. You might even want to venture to specialty cable channels that feature political analysts and healthy debate.

There are known outlets that have biases one way or the other--so listen to both. Then do research of your own to find out if there are aspects of their argument that they aren't mentioning.

When you listen to so-called "experts," featured to argue an issue, pay attention to their stance and how they are treated by the host of whatever show you are watching. You might also want to verify the standing of these experts and find out what their reputation is like in their individual field.

Talk radio might not seem stimulating during your morning commute, so if you need to blare your favorite FM station while you're in the car, I totally understand. But fortunately, many news/talk radio stations are available online.

This is particularly convenient because some of them keep archives of past programs, which means you only have to listen to discussions you really care about.

Talk radio is helpful for people concerned about the media being tainted by bias because ordinary individuals like you can easily call in and openly disagree with the host. This creates a great ongoing dialogue about major current events.

One of the major rules for approaching media is to be skeptical about virtually everything. But you can't just ignore the news. Apathy will get you nowhere, as you will soon find current events affecting you without you realizing it.

Television Lewdness a Current Event - Illustrated by the Naked Tree

Hey, America:

In the San Juan Islands in Washington State there is a tree that is quite unusual. Having lived in Minnesota and Alaska most of my life, it was peculiar to see a leafed tree that kept its leaves all year long. Another unusual characteristic of this tree is the fact that it has very thin bark, and that only on part of itself. I chuckle most anytime I see one because of what it reminds me of. In fact, I have nicknamed the madrona tree "The Movie Star Tree." You are probably thinking, " why do you call them that?" A madrona tree is half naked, and even the bark that remains is in the process of coming off, standing there in full view of everyone. It appears that most of our modern movie stars (they are no stars of mine. I think a large percentage of them are depraved people.) love to prance around 9/10s naked and are just dying to take the rest of their clothes off in full view of any simpleton who will watch, and apparently, on many cable channels do just that.

America, have we become a nation of fools? Don't we know the saying, garbage in-garbage out? Awake to righteousness. The Savior waits and His arms are open. By the way, the madrona tree makes excellent firewood, I have used it for this purpose many times. It is extremely hard and the grain is very twisted. Just like many in this generation whose hearts are hardened and whose morals are greatly twisted. We will also make good "firewood" if we do not repent. We may say we are innocent and have no sin, even though we support the movie industry's sin by buying or renting their productions. We may say they are merely actors portraying a part, but the word of God stands forever to testify against us. You see, America, mercy is only available for people who recognize their sin and repent.

A Watchman,

Consider: Pr. 11:22, Gen. 3:1-23, Re. 21:8, Mk. 8:35

Current Events and Questions of Our Time - Early May 2009

Every generation like the one before has a different perception of how things are, and things always change. If you doubt this then go back to a city that you know very well but have not been to in a decade or two, you'll hardly recognize it, all the people will be different, and the businesses will no longer be there, rather others in their place.

If you are really familiar with that area, you will not even feel like you belong there anymore. Seriously, things change that much and just think what things will be like after 30, 40 or 50 years from now? But, this is the past compared to the present.

Let's talk now about the present and leave it be for the future. What are some of the thoughts that occupy our present period, our current period, or in a certain month of a certain year. Okay, let's take a look at May 2009 shall we?

Now his books are filling up thrift stores and being sold for a dollar or two. Meanwhile, the Administration has proposed giving citizens tax credits or money against buying a new car to get rid of their older gas guzzlers. In hopes to get more fuel-efficient cars on the road and help the auto industry sell more cars.

The Chinese Have Stopped Buying US Debt; Okay, Why Not Deny Them That Future Privilege?

Although it has not been in the news much, China has slowed down significantly in buying US Debt, while other nations are flocking to dollars. China has warned about this, but maybe the US needs to stop printing money and not offer the debt anyway. One news agency said; "China has decided to cancel America's Credit Card!"

White House Not Releasing Air Force One Photos Over NY, But Does Release CIA Torture Pictures.

The White House was embarrassed when Air Force One had flown low level over lower Manhattan to take a photo op fly-by with the Statue of Liberty for the White House website, but now the Obama Administration does not want to release the pictures for fear of embarrassment, while the Republicans note that Obama is willing to release any CIA torture photos of terrorists, which could hurt our standing in the world and allow Al Qaeda an easier job in recruiting.

Criminal Topic Question; How Many Craig's Lists Copy Cats Might We See?

Swine Flu Scare Was a Test for Future Pandemics; How Did We Do?

The Mexican Swine Flu breakout is winding down, and yet authorities appeared to have dropped the ball and allowed it to spread to 5 continents. So, if this was a test for stopping a Pandemic we failed, for if this had been during the actual flu season, this could have been much worse and deadly.

New Corporate Off Shore Tax Rule Costs Will Be Passed Onto You; Yes You the Consumer!

President Obama has promised to crack down on off shore tax haven cheats and asked all Corporations to start winding down their corporate off shore tax shelter subsidiaries by 2011, unfortunately, it's going to be very difficult for that to happen, and we are talking a very large chunk of our nation's Fortune 1000 companies.

Following Current Events For SEO Purposes

One of the challenges of search engine optimization these days is keeping pace with the constantly shifting pace of user interests and fads. Over the long term of months and years, Google has many trend tools that can help you trace important keywords that you can use to build content around. However, there are major trends and fads that build up and die down in a matter of days. This trend is exacerbated by social media tools like Digg, Facebook and Twitter, which accelerate the pace of trends.

The biggest challenge to creating good SEO content quickly to respond to current events is being aware of trends as soon as possible, before most other people are. Trending Topics on the main page of Twitter is a great way to see what people are talking about, but I like to use Google. These days Google will allow you to search what it has crawled on the web in the last hour for recent news. One really great technique is to find power Twitter users who focus on pop culture events and Twitter many times a day, and follow them, as they will often have the news up minutes before anyone else. And of course, Digg, Reddit, and other voting sites should often be scanned for new submissions BEFORE they have a lot of votes, so you can get the story early.

For an example, a few weeks ago Patrick Swayze passed away. If you were following the twitter account of a power Twitter user and checking it frequently, you would have a very good chance of learning of this before most of the internet. You would then immediately write a short article highlighting some of Patrick Swayze's best movies, add the hashtag #Swayze to the title, and posted it to your blog or website, then post a link to it on Twitter, all in about 15 minutes. I can guarantee you would get fairly substantial traffic from that post. The hardest part of trend-watching is being first on the scoop, after that it is just a matter of creating content which adds your own views or perspective and publishing that content ASAP.

How Current Events Can Make You Some Fast Affiliate Marketing Cash

Here's an easy, effective method that anyone can use to make some quick affiliate marketing cash. All it takes is a bit of free time, a free blog that takes just minutes to set up, and a little information about the latest current events in the news.

Note: in order to use the method I'm about to show you, you should already be signed up with an affiliate marketing network - preferably one that has a selection of CPA (cost per action) offers, such as Azoogle Ads, Clickbooth, or NeverBlueAds. You'll need to be able to quickly select offers to promote based on current events in order to make this work. You can search online for more information about CPA affiliate offers, but the jist of it is that you can get paid from these offers without your customer having to actually "buy" anything, so you'll make more conversions then you would with a standard offer. However, this method can also work with a more standard affiliate like Clickbank, it's just that your conversions will be lower. Okay, so once you've gotten that out of the way...

Step 1. Go to Google Trends and find out what topics are "hot" and in the news today. (If you're not familiar with Google Trends, it's a service offered by Google that shows what topics people are searching for on a given day). Make note of a few topics that are in the "hot trends" category. Once you've identified some phrases people are searching for, go to the regular Google search engine and check to see what competition there is for that phrase. For this example, I'm using the phrase "South Park Fish Sticks", because that's one of the topics that came up when I did a search in Google Trends just now. When I search for this phrase with quotes as above, Google returns only 10 websites. That means that only 10 other websites are ranking for that exact phrase in Google, so I should have a pretty good chance of ranking highly for it. In general, you want to only focus on phrases that have under 10,000 results when you search using quotes. while it's true that people searching for this phrase won't be using quotes when they search, i've found that as long as there's a low number of exact matches for it, I can usually still rank very highly.

Step 2. Choose an affiliate offer that will appeal to people searching for that topic. As mentioned above, CPA offers will usually have the best chance of converting into commissions off this type of "trend traffic", but you should decide based on the type of visitors you think you'll be getting based on the hot topic. For our example above of "South Park Fish Sticks", referring to the cartoon South Park, I would look for an offer that relates to the show, such as a ringtone offer that pays me when someone submits their contact information through my affiliate page. If I'm unable to find one, then I'd just use a very general offer that appeals to a lot of people, such as an offer to win a new iPod. The only time I'd use a niche-specific offer is if I had a good reason to believe the visitors would have a strong interest in that offer. For example, if I knew the visitors would be interested in information on weight loss, then I might promote a healthy weight loss guide from Clickbank.

In addition to your blog title, post titles and URL, you can use social bookmarking and other methods to help ensure a high ranking for your new "hot topic" blog. Ultimately, you want your blog showing up on the first page of results when people search for the topic. Because you're building your site around a sudden trend, rather than an established topic, ranking well can be extremely easy even for a new site.

Step 3. Build a website around the affiliate offer and search engine optimize it so that it achieves good rankings. Free Blogger blogs work great for this. Basically all you need is to use the "hot topic" search term in the url of your blog as well as in your blog title. Then make a few short posts about the "hot topic", remembering to include the search terms in the blog post title and in the body of the post. Within the actual post, you can include a link to your affiliate offer, and when people click on your link and perform the required action (sign up, submit, etc.), you'll get paid.

Step 4. When people search for the "hot" topic, they'll come across your site and if you have the site monetized well, you'll likely make affiliate commissions.

Step 5. Repeat it again with another "hot" topic. By nature, this is a profitable but very short-lived method for making money. Usually, either the trend will begin to die out and your site's traffic will diminish along with it, or more sites will be indexed in the search engines and your site will be bumped off the first page of results (unless you do additional SEO to maintain your ranking). Either way, if you continually keep searching for trends, you can continually make money from this method by setting up site after site.

So there you have it - an easy, fast and free way to make money just by paying attention to what's in the news. Not only is this a great way to earn affiliate cash, but it can also be a lot of fun!

Surefire Ways to Fail Your Event!

Are you afraid that you may be doing all the wrong things during your event planning process? Don't worry, we've got your back and we will show you exactly what people do that guarantees failure. We know this because we have seen people implement them, and it works 0% every time. Here we go...

Make poor use of social media

This is an important way to fail your event. Social media has become an indispensable part of a daily routine for most people. With its marketing power, social media has left behind TV, radio, print publications and other means of traditional media.

One of the best features of social media marketing is its price - it's free. It only requires some time and knowledge. If you don't have the time to learn how you may use social media effectively, then you may hire a social media consultant who will increase your event's attendance.

Ignoring such an amazing source of marketing is the best way to flop your event. Some of the leading social network sites include: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIN.

Tip: If you want to make your event successful, devote your time to learn social media marketing trends or hire a social media consultant.

Don't use multimedia

Another way to ensure your event's failure is making absolutely no use of photos and/or videos.

People are always looking for things that will prove that the event is valid. They pay special attention to reviews, videos and photos of past events. Giving your potential attendees the opportunity to see the photos of your previous events will give them a general notion of your event planning skills. Videos may also attract your potential attendees: it is always nice to watch a well done 1-2 minutes video intro for an event.

Tip: Event planners often forget about the importance of hiring a professional photographer and/or videographer. Professionals know how to represent your event in the best light (e.g. a professional will make your event look as if it were gorgeous and perfect, even if it was far from it).

Make your website as ugly as possible

If your website looks like it was made in the early days of internet then you're on the right way to total failure.

When your potential attendee visits an event's website/webpage, it is his/her very first impression to how the actual event will be. So placing your event in an old-fashioned and absolutely non-user-friendly website will increase your site's bounce rate and disappoint your potential attendees.

Tip: If you have a similar problem and want a free solution, create a WordPress-based website and download an appealing free theme.

Opt out of offering an early bird registration price

Offering early bird registration prices is a usual strategy adopted by reoccurring event planners. This will give you insight on how many people liked your current event enough to be willing to attend the next one. Offering your current event's attendees an early bird discount for registering right now is a good way of increasing your event's attendance.

Tip: If you are not sure about the price, ask your attendees to leave their emails to receive alerts once the prices become available.

Follow these guidelines and rest assured that your event will fail! However, if you're an event planner who takes event marketing seriously and wants his/her event to be successful, take time to ensure you do not follow any of the above mentioned steps.

Satellite Internet Keeps You Informed on Current Events

The internet isn't just a place to socialize, it's a place to learn and share ideas through a common network. Newspapers now provide the majority of their material online with even more options to join in on the discussion. The internet allows each user to put their thoughts into the cyber world and communicate with people from all over the globe. Communication of such a magnitude has never been in existence. Now with satellite internet every household in the contiguous U.S. can experience a high-speed online connection.

Newspapers have all found themselves online and with a bigger audience than ever before. High-speed internet allows for you to keep up-to-the-minute with the current events going on around you and all over the world. Unfortunately tragedy has struck recently in many places. However, with professional journalists covering the stories and bringing you the information by the second you can remain aware of what's going on in all parts of the globe and even learn how you can personally help. Online newspapers also provide different opinion blogs, giving you and your family an even more in-depth point of view of the latest stories.

Until recently high-speed internet was not available all over the U.S. In rural areas communities had been confined by dial-up as their sole option for an internet connection. Now with satellite internet, a high-speed online connection can be achieved from coast to coast. Dial-up is inconvenient, forcing the household to tie up a phone line or add an entirely new one. With a high-speed connection you can have an internet signal up to thirty times faster that dial-up. So when it comes time to put in your opinion on the latest news story you won't have to wait hours just to upload the page, your article, and hope that the connection doesn't time out.

Aside from perusing news websites you can also look up valuable information from innumerable sources. Online dictionaries and thesaurus allow you to expand your vocabulary, while resource websites such as Wikipedia allow you to become knowledgeable in seconds on just about any topic. The internet is a space for sharing knowledge, making it important to realize the difference between fact and opinion when you're surfing the net. It's amazing that we can all put our opinions out there, but facts are much different than an opinion.

There's an unfortunate stigma that satellite internet is unreliable and loses the connection whenever the storm clouds come in. This couldn't be farther from the truth.
